Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
– Exodus 14:13-14 (NIV)
When we are overwhelmed with life and circumstances, we sometimes need an outside voice to give us the courage to move forward. In the Church, God has given us pastors, preachers, and teachers to remind us of God’s presence and His provision. This is unlike the way some prostitute the Word of God by teaching that God is most concerned about our happiness and rewarding us financially. This is heresy! The devil wants us to stay paralyzed in our circumstances and God wants us to learn to trust Him in the midst of those same circumstances. When we begin to trust God, everything changes. We do not always get what we want or the best of everything, but when you have a fresh perspective, everything is made new. A new perspective is often times more valuable than money in the bank. If you are in desperate circumstances today, be reminded that there is hope. Trust in God, and your circumstances will not be the same. You will never be the same.
