In our culture, we seldom associate the truth with love. The truth has become subjective—it has become dependent on the preferences of the individual. Which means that we talk in terms of affirmation and tolerance.
The culture wants us to be permissive to anyone and everyone’s preferences and feelings instead of what is actually true. The culture would have you believe that disagreement is hateful and intolerant.
Regardless of the way of culture, there is objective truth. There are things that are true forever and always. There can be no earnest or honest conversation without this admission. As a Christian, you have an obligation to speak truth, in love, regardless of who stands against it.
Our source of truth is the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is our moral compass that helps us navigate a sinful world. God will never lead you in a way that contradicts the truth in His Word.
Be bold and be faithful to the truth.
