But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand compels him. So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders that I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go.
– Exodus 3:19-20 (NIV)
Let us be reminded that God is sovereign, even over nations and world leaders. May we know the heart of God, and do the will of God, so that the favor of God (and not the judgment of God) will fall on us. Let us worship Him instead of mock Him; let us serve Him and not ourselves; and let us make a friend of God instead of an enemy.
No man, no matter his title or position, can stand against God. God’s plans will not be thwarted by mortal men. He is the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, the beginning and then end; He who was, He who is, and He who is to come! He is the name above all names; He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords! His Kingdom has no rival, and His reign knows no limits.
Stand firm in the face of adversity and know that the battle belongs to the Lord!
